Five Methods to Relieve Stress During Wedding Planning
by adminWeddings aren’t called “your big day” for no reason. Even the most intimate weddings require a lot of careful planning. As a result, planning a wedding can be a very stressful undertaking. However, there are things you can do to relieve stress during wedding planning. The following are five suggestions that will help to keep tensions down when planning your wedding.
2) Don’t do everything yourself.
Delegate items from your to do list to your friends and family. If it’s in the budget, consider hiring a wedding planner. It can be difficult to let go of the planning, and involve other people, so be sure to ask people who you trust.
3) Have at least one day a week when you don’t do anything related to your wedding.
Put the planners away and go on a date with your soon to be spouse, or spend some time catching up with friends. Ban the word “wedding” from your vocabulary for a day, but don’t stress if you slip up!
4) Take care of yourself.
Get plenty of sleep and maintain a balanced diet. Don’t try to starve yourself in order to “look good” on your wedding day. Make sure you get regular exercise and stay hydrated. Try drinking herbal tea, instead of coffee, as a stress reliever.
5) Be realistic.
Understand that your wedding doesn’t have to be perfect. Remember that the wedding isn’t about the perfect dress, the perfect cake, or the perfect flowers. It is about the love between you and the person you’re marrying. If you accept that there may be bumps along the road to the alter, you will feel a lot less stressed when you encounter them.
There are hundreds of ways to stay low-stress while planning a wedding, but these five methods to relieve stress during wedding planning are the most important.
